GBF Children’s Ministry
The Goal of Children’s Ministry
Based on 2 Timothy 3:15 and Colossians 1:28, the goal of the children's ministry is to come alongside parents in ministering to the GBF children by teaching them the Word of God in such a way that is understandable and appropriate to their age group so as to lead them to a saving faith or strengthen their faith.
Currently, the children's ministry is divided into two branches: Sunday School and Children's Church. Sunday School meets at 9:30 am every Sunday, and is currently divided into two classes - Primary (4.5 years to 1st grade) and Elementary (2nd through 5th grade). Both classes go through the same memory verse each Sunday, then they split into their respective groups for their specific lessons. Children's Church meets on the 1st and 3rd Sundays of every month. As of now, it's one whole group. Starting next year, we hope to split the group into two groups - one for the younger and for the older.
Our Children’s Church program is overseen by J.R. Cuevas and is run with the help of many faithful saints who are committed to teaching and ministering to our children.
